Practice Pharmacists

Our practice clinical pharmacists work closely with the Doctors and the rest of the team.

They are highly qualified health professionals who train for many years to become specialists in medicines and are Independent Prescribers.

They can work directly with you to make sure your medicines are helping you and that you stay well. This is done by reviewing your medications at least once per year. They may arrange for tests, clinic appointments at the surgery or for telephone consultations to discuss your medications with you. This is a great opportunity for you to talk about how you feel about your medicines and other ways you can manage your health.

They are readily available to offer advice about side effects, the best way to take your medication, lifestyle changes, and any alterations that have been made to your prescriptions.
